So tonight while I was at dinner, someone decided to throw an IED (Improvised Explosive Device - what they do roadside bombs with) over our perimeter fence. Messed me up about an hour getting back from dinner, since the spot they threw it is right between my work and the chow hall. A real pain.
Now, to me this just indicates a probing of our base security, and probably our response patterns. But it also shows just how nuts these people are. To walk up and toss a bomb over a fence, with motion detectors and guards all around? Straight crazy.
Oh, today it hit 103 in the shade. It was about 115-120 in the sun. Nice and toasty.
