Counselor

So I realized that while I called my family & some friends, had some people over, and posted it on Facebook, there may be some people who keep up with me exclusively via my blog. And I never posted the most excellent news I received yesterday - I passed the Virginia Bar!!! I get sworn in on Nov. 3 (I think). I'll be a legit lawyer soon! Now to just find a firm that will hire me.

Rather than esquire, I think I prefer the title of Counselor.

you know, people like me...
dang congratulations, mate! way to be official.

personally, i could definitely take "esquire." although, if you wanted to go the "counsellor" route, at least make it more intimidating and go with "consiglieri".

Congrats. I was just sworn in in Utah last week. It feels great to make everything final. I think I agree that Counsellor has a better ring to it.

I am sure you'll be able to find a job in no time. In the meantime, enjoy your freedom. Firms definitely are a time drain.

I don't know if you are already a patent agent or not. If you are, brace yourself for a $100 fee to change your status when you become official.
